These questions are provided for your further study and application of today’s message. These questions are particularly designed to be discussed in your Family Devotions, in your Care Group, with an accountability partner, or reflected on privately in your own personal time with the Lord.
- As we reach the end of our study in I Peter, review some of the main themes/points in this letter. As you think back over our journey in this epistle, what has impacted you the most?
- Read I Peter 5:8-9. How does this text and the direct identification of God’s spiritual enemy and ours affect your thinking? What is the advantage of being “sober-minded” and “watchful” as opposed to ignorant and clueless regarding what lies behind some of our “suffering” (v. 9)?
- Read Ephesians 6:10-12. Having already observed that the work of our spiritual enemies is not something “spooky” or “ghostly,” how does this call to arms, with its related components (vv.13-18), help to clarify the arena of our daily battle?
- Spend some time studying the spiritual armor of Ephesians 6:10-17. How can you apply this to your personal life on a daily basis? How can you use this to energize your prayer life for other believers?
