Ben trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior as a six year old child. While attending Prairie Bible Institute (Three Hills, Alberta, Canada; 1982-1986) Ben met, fell in love with and married his wife Marcia. During the 1990’s, while serving as director of Southwestern Gospel Ministries to Children in El Paso, Ben began to develop a passion to preach the Word of God. In the late 90’s, he began attending seminary level expository preaching courses at the Stephen Olford Institute for Biblical Preaching in Memphis, Tennessee. In January of 2001, alongside of several other likeminded believers, Ben preached his first sermon at Grace Bible Fellowship from Philippians 1:1-2. Ben and Marcia are parents to six wonderful children, Caleb, Joshua, Josiah, Charissa, Janelle, and Justin.

Charlie is married (Elsa) with four children (Tiffany, Ali, Nikki and Chris) as well as six grandchildren (and counting). At 17 years of age, he began his work career with an 8 ½ year stint in the US Army. After his military service, Charlie attended the El Paso Police Academy and subsequently served in the EPPD as a peace officer for 25 years. In 2003, while preparing for an Easter presentation, Charlie was rescued by the Prince of Peace. Upon repenting and trusting in Christ’s completed work on the cross, he was saved from sin and self as well as a childhood false conversion. Charlie joined the membership of GBF in 2007 and has been in service to the GBF body ever since. Charlie teaches and was one of the inaugural Care Group leaders. In 2017 he retired from the EPPD, partially to be more involved in ministry work. At the beginning of 2019, he took on the role of Administrative Assistant to the GBF elders. Charlie continues to serve as Care Group Leader and Administrative Assistant.
